Privacy policy
The short version. This website does not use analytics trackers, advertising, or third-party scripts, and it sets no cookies for visitors. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so your visit is not shared with Google or any other font or content provider. Our games send a small amount of pseudonymous gameplay data to this domain so we can balance them. Details below.
Who we are
SkySkippy Studio is a small independent game studio. This site is the studio's public home and a portfolio for its developers. For anything in this policy, message the studio owner in the studio Discord.
1. Visiting the website
What is stored on your device
If you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key theme. It never leaves your browser and you can remove it by clearing site data. Nothing else is stored, and no cookies are set for visitors.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details (page requested, browser type, time) to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse. We do not build profiles from these logs or combine them with other data. Cloudflare's own privacy policy describes how it handles that data.
External links
Links to Discord, affiliate studios and other sites lead to services we do not control. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
2. The private analytics dashboard
The /analytics/ area is for studio staff only. If you try to sign in, the IP address of the attempt is recorded for up to 24 hours so we can limit repeated login attempts. After a successful sign-in, a session cookie named sa_session is set. It is strictly necessary for the login to work, lasts at most 12 hours, is never used for tracking, and is only ever set for studio staff who sign in.
3. Game telemetry (players of our games)
Our games send gameplay statistics to this domain so we can see what is fun, what is too hard, and whether the in-game economy is balanced. For each player this can include:
- your Roblox user ID (a number, not your name or username);
- how long a play session lasted;
- in-game currency earned and spent, and what it was spent on;
- round results: stages reached, completions, in-game deaths and active in-game buffs;
- cosmetics equipped, items obtained and skills unlocked;
- the game server and round identifiers the event happened in.
We do not collect your username, chat messages, friends, email address, device information, or anything typed by you. We never sell this data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with anyone outside the studio except the hosting provider that stores it (Cloudflare). It is used only to balance and improve the games.
Children
Many Roblox players are under 13. Because of that, we deliberately collect only the pseudonymous user ID and gameplay numbers listed above, never contact details, and we do not use the data for anything other than game balancing.
Retention and your rights
We keep gameplay data only as long as it is useful for balancing, and we review and delete data that is no longer needed. You can ask us to tell you what we hold about your Roblox account or to delete it by messaging the studio owner in the studio Discord with your Roblox user ID. We may ask you to prove you control that account before we act on the request.
4. Legal basis
Where privacy law such as the GDPR applies, we process hosting logs and login-attempt records on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and gameplay data on the basis of our legitimate interest in balancing and improving the games. Where a law requires consent instead, we rely on the consent you give to the game platform and to us.
5. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Meaningful changes to what we collect from players will also be announced in the studio Discord.
